FWT-8848 is a WCDMA to Analog converter(single port, insert 1 SIM card only),

the device can produce a FXS line to allow a regular phone to be connected and used just like a local landline(PSTN) except your calls will go out the WCDMA network. 

This device can both receive and make calls.

 

Network support:

3G Tri-Band UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA (WCDMA/FDD): 850/1900 MHz; 
It doesn't support 2G GSM&3G 900/2100MHz&4G network.

Employ 3G WCDMA HUAWEI module MU509-65 (850/1900Mhz), with stable performance.

Cost-effective FWT solution, designed mainly for Central America and South America countries,

including Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, Ecuador, Peru, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina etc.

The main application is connecting the RJ-11 FXS line:

to connect ordinary telephone set for voice call; 

to connect PBX for call extensions; 

to connect billing systems for public phone use;

to connect alarm system for security purpose, etc.
